PFD CrossFit in Verona is 100% focused on showing how CrossFit can be done by anyone.  Whether you want to reduce fat or grow muscles, our CrossFit program easily works for the individual.

We focus on safely introducing CrossFit to newbies through small intro classes and we help others improve, develop and strengthen experienced CrossFit athletes.  

We do this by offering the following levels in each CrossFit class:

There are 3 different levels of workouts that we offer:

Health– Our Health level is perfect for those athletes just starting out with CrossFit or that are looking to stay active with some type of health regime. This level of training is great for those looking to train 2-3 times per week, are working back from an injury or have a busy work or travel schedule. Workouts are lighter than the other levels but still challenging enough to improve all health and fitness markers.

Performance– The Performance level at PFD CrossFit is perfect for those that have been actively training for over 3 months, and can fluidly demonstrate all of the movements needed to excel in CrossFit. Athletes that participate in this level can generally plan on 60 minute classes that are designed to improve their strength, power and cardiovascular endurance; while decreasing body fat, increasing lean muscle tissue and improving all health markers.

Competitors– Our Competitors level is designed for those looking to take their CrossFit training to the next level and participate in various CrossFit competitions throughout the country. Athletes interested in participating is this level of training must have a minimum of six months of consistent CrossFit training as well as have an 80% compliance within the PFD levels guide. This program will generally take around 1 hour plus extra work outside class times.

CrossFit as defined by CrossFit HQ: Constantly varied functional movements executed at high intensity across broad time and modal domains,” with the stated goal of improving fitness, which it defines as “work capacity across broad time and modal domains.” CrossFit training focuses on improving and developing all ten general physical skills: cardiovascular/respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, agility, balance, coordination, and accuracy. Thus CrossFit delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. Our specialty is not specializing. Combat, survival, many sports, and life, reward this kind of fitness and, on average, may punish the specialist.

CrossFit is the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide.
